Profesor Dr. Abdul  Rashid b. Mohamed Shariff

Prof. Rashid experts in Global Navigation Satellite System, Spatial Information Management, Land Information Management, Geographical Information System, Technical Issues in GIS, Digital Cartography, Remote Sensing Applications, Geomatics Engineering, Geospatial Statistics, Information Engineering, Research Methodology and Innovation Methodology. Prof. Rashid has been President of the Institution of Geospatial and RemoteSensing  Malaysia (IGRSM) since 2012. He is a Fellow and Life Member of IGRSM, a Fellow and Life Member of the Malaysian Society of Agriculture Engineers (MSAE), a member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), a chartered engineer registered with the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE), in the United Kingdom and a professional surveyor with the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).He received the Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) Award in 2018, in a ceremony officiated by the Malaysian Prime Minister.

Dr. Manuela Zude-Sasse

Dr. Aimrun Wayayok

Graduated his M.S. and PhD from UPM (1999-2006) in the field of soil and water engineering. He was a Post-doctoral researcher/senior post-doctoral researcher for many years since 2006. He also was appointed by UPM to be a Research Fellow in Precision Farming of Rice before joining the department. 2011-2012.

He has published more than 100 articles including journals and other more than 100 articles in proceedings, books and chapter in books.

Supervised 8 PhDs as a main supervisor in the field of soil and water ,and precision farming. He has Scopus H-index = 9.

Dr. Pramod Mahajan

Dr. Pramod Mahajan leads the research group "Packaging Systems" at the ATB. His research is focused on innovative packaging and storage technologies for ensuring the quality and safety of fresh produce. His research group is focused modified and controlled atmosphere packaging, bio-based packaging, moisture regulation strategies, sensor development and mathematical modeling for packaging design.

Dr. Siti Hajar Ariffin

Dr. Siti Ariffin is a member of the research groups “Packaging Engineering” and “Postharvest Engineering” at the Department of Process and Food Engineering, UPM. Her field of expertise includes handling process line of fresh produce, quality and shelf life, image processing, strategies for packaging as well as modelling respiration rate of the fresh produce.

Dr. Graziele Grossi Bovi Karatay

Dr. Graziele G. B. Karatay is a member of the research group "Packaging Systems" at the ATB. Her field of expertise includes modified and controlled atmosphere packaging and moisture control and regulation strategies for packaging of fresh produce.

Dr. Namrata Pathak

Dr. Namrata Pathak is a member of the research group "Packaging Systems" at the ATB. Her field of expertise includes post harvest technology with main focus on ethylene control using a nanoparticle-based photocatalytic system.

Thomas Schiewe

Martin Penzel is a PhD candidate in the research group Precision Horticulture at the ATB. His field of expertise includes carbon balancing of fruit crops with the aim of modeling the yield capacity and optimum crop load. In the experimental work Infrared gas analyzers (LI-COR, CIRAS) are used to measure gas exchange of pre-harvest fruit and leaves

Roland Wirth is Managing Director of Frigotec GmbH. The company designs, delivers and assembles turnkey high-quality complete refrigeration systems for domestic and foreign customers. The refrigeration systems are manufactured in-house. Specialized equipments include CA, ULO long-term refrigerated warehouses, fresh-food refrigerators, quick-cooling systems, and banana ripening plants.

Dr. Christiane von Haselberg heads the staff for research coordination and promotion at the ATB. The main focus of her work is the initiation and coordination of cooperation with national and EU/international partners from research and economics, as well as strategy and measures to internationalize the ATB.
