DAY 3 OF CULTURAL VISIT
On the third day of cultural visit, participants and IASS committee members were going to Batu Caves in Gombak to experience the uniqueness of cave temples and its attraction, the large statue of Hindu God at the entrance. Although climbing steep with more than 200 stairs is tiring, it is really worth it to witness many symbolic of Hindu shrines and temples inside, along with the stunning skyline of the city centre.
During the afternoon, we got a chance to visit Beryl’s Chocolate and Confectionary factory. Besides hunting for chocolate, we were lucky to hear a briefing about the chocolate making process and watch a video about Beryl’s Chocolate history.
Once returned, we managed to hold a mini food festival by introducing our legendary fritter called cucur and famous tradisional kuih muih known as onde-onde. All participants were so excited to try making their own onde-onde and cucur while enjoying the great taste of Malaysian food.
