ROBOTIC COMPETITION

GENERAL

 

Participation

All participants build and operate Robots at their own risk.

 

Event Rules

Compliance with all event rules is mandatory. Competitors are expected to stay within the rules and procedures of their own accord and not require constant policing.

 

Safety Inspections

Robot Battle will be operating safety & rule compliance checks prior to any robot competing or testing during the event.

 

Weapon Restraints

All Robots not in an arena or official testing area should have secure safety covers over any sharp edges and restraints on any active weapons or pinch hazards.

 

Restrictions

In some situations, the safety inspection team may deem it necessary to restrict your robot’s operation for safety purposes. It is entirely your responsibility that these restrictions are always adhered to.

 

WEIGHT CLASSIFICATION

 

Weight Limit

The maximum weight limit allowed is 3.00kg.

 

Safety Equipment

Maximum weight does not include safety bars, straps, or similar equipment used to immobilize moving arms or weapons and that are removed during competition.

 

Size Limit

Robots must not exceed these dimensions. This includes all overhangs and weapons when in the retracted position. E.g., An axe retracted may not exceed these limits however, in its ‘fired’ position, it may extend past these dimensions (30cm length x 20cm width, 20cm height).

 

COMPETITION FEE

RM 50.00 per robot

 

TERM AND CONDITIONS

Judges’ decisions are final, and no appeal will be entertained

Registration fee is non-refundable or no-transferable

All decisions during competition are firm

How to play the competition?

Each player will be given 2 tasks: attacking and defending in each round. The attacking participant who can knock down the flag defended by the defending party 3 times in the fastest time will be counted as the winner. The maximum time for each round is 3 minutes per round. If any contestant has the same time, a third round will be conducted, and contestants will be drawn to determine the attacking and defending contestants.
