T&L innovation poster competition.
Open to HEIs academic staff and students with subjected to entry fees.

Rules and Regulations

  • Putra InnoCreative Competition is open to all lecturer/ teacher/ staff/ student in higher education institutions.
  • Participation may be as individual or in group.
  • Combination of lecturer/ teacher, staff and students are encouraged.
  • Product or innovation must relate to innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Participants are allowed to submit more than one entry. However, there will be a fee charged for each entry.

Abstract Submission General Guidelines

  1. Abstract submission is open online from 1st July 2019 until 30th August 2019 17th Sept. 2019 (New Extended Date) via the PicTL 2019 Online Registration Form.
  2. All abstracts must be submitted exclusively via the online abstract submission system. Submissions by email or any other means will NOT be accepted.
  3. Abstract must be written in English or Bahasa Melayu.
  4. AUTHORS – The first author will be the presenting author. The first author is expected to register and pay the full registration fee and make the presentation.
  5. Please provide an accurate email address for the first author. All correspondence on abstract will be through email to the first author.
  6. The ABSTRACT TITLE must be appropriate and concise. Avoid using abbreviations in the title.
  7. It is the author’s responsibility to submit an abstract with correct spelling and grammar. The PICTL19 Committee, however, reserves the right to edit the abstract if it has significant spelling and grammatical mistakes.
  8. Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an email including an abstract reference number. If you do not receive an acknowledgement after submission, please contact the PICTL19 Secretariat: cade@upm.edu.my or call 03-97696182 (Mr. Nizam)/ 1465 (Mr. Idham)/ 2079 (Mrs. Wani).
  9. Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the PICTL19 Committee. The review process is confidential and the decision is final. 
  10. Late submissions will NOT be considered.

Poster Guidelines

Below is the poster Guidelines template. Please note that the printed poster must be ready and set up for presentation a day before PICTL2019 commences.

 

1. Size

Poster should be printed in A1 size (59.4 cm width × 84.1 cm height) in portrait orientation.

2. Content

The contents of the poster must include:

    1. Title
    2. Abstract
    3. Objectives
    4. Value-added
    5. Usefulness
    6. Commercialization potential
    7. Recognition
    8. Authors(s) name & affiliation(s)

*Author(s) may also add Photos and QR codes on the poster.

3. Layout, colours and fonts
    • The layout of the poster template may be customized by participants, depending on the suitability of the content and creativity of participants.
    • We suggest that participants use contrasting colors for text and background.
    • Fonts may also be customized as long as the types are readable.
4. Suggested font size
    • Title Bar – 42-48 points, bold and capitalized research topic
    • Header – 30-36 points and bold
    • Content – at least 20 points

5. Kindly provide clear illustration and visual materials (photographs/figure, charts, maps, graphs, etc.) for an enhanced and effective poster presentation.

Guidelines for Poster Presenters

  • The size of the text should be readable from a distance of at least a meter.
  • The poster must be brought to the PICTL2019 venue and set up a day before PICTL2019 commences.
  • Registration for Poster presenters is on 15 October 2019 between 3.00pm and 5.00pm. Presenters should put up their posters according to the abstract reference number provided.
  • The presenting authors are required to be at their poster board/ e-posters display site (time will be advised) for presentation to the judges.
  • Posters should be on display from 15 to 17 October 2019. Posters must be removed before 6.00pm on 17 October 2019. Any unclaimed posters will be discarded.

Awards

  • Gold, silver and bronze medals.
  • Certificate of participation and award.
