OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 7TH IASS
The opening ceremony of the 7th International Agriculture Students Symposium (IASS) had been held at Agriculture Hall, Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The attendees for the ceremony are Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu (Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) of UPM), Dato’ Dr. Mohd Zabawi bin Abdul Ghani (Director of MARDI), Prof Datuk Dr. Mad Nasir bin Shamsudin (Professor from UPM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juwaidah Binti Sharifuddin (Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture), the programs’ sponsors, chaperones, head of departments, participants, and committee members. The ceremony was officiated by Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) of UPM.
The opening ceremony proceeded with an impactful and fruitful forum session entitled “Food Security: Where are the Youth?” moderated by Dr. Mohd. Firdaus Sulaiman, and Dato’ Dr. Mohd Zabawi bin Abdul Ghani and Prof Datuk Dr. Mad Nasir bin Shamsudin as the plenary speakers.
