COMPETITION TERMS & REGULATIONS

COMPETITION TERMS & REGULATIONS:

A.       General Terms and regulation of the Innovation Competition

  1. Participants can use English or Bahasa Melayu.
  2. After registration is approved, participants are NOT ALLOWED TO DO ANY CHANGES OR REQUEST TO CHANGE member's name and title.
  3. The name on the participant's certificate is based on the spelling on the registration form.
  4. Each entry must be an ORIGINAL WORK of the participant and not plagiarized any copyright of others. Participation is CANCELLED if the work is found submitted is not original / plagiarized and the fee will not be REFUND.
  5. For innovation projects that have been CONTESTED and WON ANY PREVIOUS AWARDS MUST MAKE CHANGES ON CREATIVITY / INNOVATION AS MUCH AS 70%.
  6. The cost of preparing the competition materials is under the RESPONSIBILITY of the OWN PARTICIPANT
  7. The organizer will disqualify participants that do not complete the innovation materials (abstract, innovation poster and innovation video presentation), and the fee will not be REFUND.

B. ABSTRACT WRITING GUIDELINES

  1. Abstract should be written maximum 300 words (refer abstract template).
  2. Format: using Microsoft word format single spacing, Arial, font size 10.
  3. Abstract must include the project title, name, affiliation, email address, introduction and problem statement, innovation project objectives, description of the innovation project, implementation process and benefits of the innovation, as well as the summary/closing.
  4. Your abstract should consist of not more than 5 keywords.
  5. The abstract must be submitted UPON REGISTRATION.


C. Guidelines for Innovation Poster

  1. Prepare the innovation poster in A1 portrait size (594 mm x 841 mm). 
  2. The poster must include the following components: project title, teaching and learning issues/problems, objectives, added value, impact on learning, as well as practicality and usability (refer to the poster template).
  3. Participants may use QR codes to provide additional information about the innovation project in the poster.
  4. Posters must be submitted no later than 30 MAY 2026 through the provided link.
  5. Physical participants are required to bring their posters on the competition day, which is 11 JUNE 2026.

D. Guidelines for Innovation Presentation (Video Recording) and Presentation (Physical)

  1. Highlight the innovation components (as in the poster) as well as the implementation process in the presentation video.
  2. Ensure that the presenter’s voice/audio in the video is clear and reduce background noise
  3. If the innovation has been previously competed, please state the improvements that have been made in the video recording.
  4. Duration for both video and physical presentation is a maximum of 10 minutes.
  5. The video must be uploaded to the participant’s personal YouTube channel.
  6. The video link must be submitted no later than 30 MAY 2026 through the provided link.

EJudging Method and Process

  1. All submitted entries will be evaluated in advance by the organizers. The organizers reserve the right to reject any submission if participants fail to comply with the competition terms and regulations.
  2. The appointed panel of judges will evaluate the innovation poster and video presentation based on the following criteria: Creativity and Ideas, Innovation Output, Impact, Pitching and Poster.
  3. Two professional judges will be appointed to assess each entry. The judges’ decision is final, and any appeal will not be entertained.

F. Prizes and Certificates

  1. Each group will be given ONE (1) AWARD CERTIFICATE (Gold, Silver, Bronze) containing all the names of the group members.
  2. ONLY ONE (1) MEDAL will be awarded to each winning group.
  3. Group members may order additional medals after the winners’ announcement ceremony (with payment).
  4. Physical participants will receive prizes and certificates during the winners’ announcement ceremony on 11 JUNE 2026.
