ABOUT AMSA UPM

Asian Medical Students` Association Universiti Putra Malaysia (AMSA UPM) is a chapter of AMSA Malaysia in UPM. AMSA is a peak representative organisation for medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. The AMSA vision is Knowledge, Action and Friendship. Three areas we continuously strive to further in our members and peers through our organizational mission:

 

Knowledge : We promote scientific and medical activities to increase and expand our knowledge whilst training to become the medical professionals of the future.

Action : As medical students, we are concerned for the community around us and endeavour to do things for the benefit and improvement of our fellow citizens.

Friendship : As future doctors, we aim to build and maintain a good relationship among our colleagues of the Asia-Pacific and beyond.

 

AMSA UPM has been organising various events over the years. Some of our other major events beside annual Diabetes Charity Run include Community Outreach Program to Kampung Orang Asli as well as our annual Health Day, which has different theme each year. In 2019, AMSA UPM Diabetes Day X CPR 2019 was held at Dewan Besar PKKSSAAS, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Our programs have proved to create a strong impact among the public and we have received positive feedback from our participants besides an increase in the number of participants each year with a breaking record of 1600 participants during AMSA UPM Diabetes Day 2019.
